Where Stories Grow (top artwork)
At the centre of this artwork is the Sticky Everlasting, a plant that holds personal meaning for me. It is an important part of the piece, honouring the memories I shared with my Great Nan on Country- laughing, loving, learning and simply being together.
Surrounding the Sticky Everlasting is Country- mountains, plants, tracks, Country colours and a meeting place representing coming together to connect, listen, learn and share. For me, Where Stories Grow is about the love shared on Country, the memories we carry and the stories and knowledge that continue to grow when we come together.
First Spring (bottom artwork)
First Spring represents the wattle in bloom and the arrival of spring.
Capturing the vibrant colours of Country, the coolness in the air, the warmth of the sunshine and the positive feeling that comes with the season changing.
