This piece honours the strength, connection and knowledge on Ngunawal Country.
The tree stands for strength. Beneath it are myself, Kristal, our late great Nan and cousin Tyronne with his hunting boomerang – a symbol of care and protection.
The sun represents empowerment, while the blue waterholes and flowing rivers reflect life, stories and movement through Country. Kangaroo tracks show our journey forward.
Each section shares parts of Country – bush tucker, animals, yarning spaces and more. I’m grateful to walk this path, to connect with my beautiful Mob around me and to call Country home.
